Our Services

• Private Lessons
  

  Private lessons provide one-on-one training with either Micah or Brittany, both of whom are "highly-qualified" music educators, or Sylus Sartin, our student teacher who is also amazing! In private lessons, students are taught weekly and have the option of choosing 15-minute, 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute, 1-hour, or 1.5 hour lessons. A recommendation for length of lesson will be made at the initial interview based upon the student’s age, maturity level, musical experience, academic and performance goals, scheduling and financial concerns. Private lessons are catered to the individual student’s needs and have higher expectations for practice time than classes do. Private lessons are perfect for older students or the student who is wanting to take music more seriously and further their abilities!

• Classes
  

  If your child is a musical novice or is under the age of 9 years old, classes are an excellent way to get them started in general music or on an instrument! Children can truly benefit from the social aspect of classes, learn how to work as a team, and improve their micro-motor and macro-motor skills, all while learning general music concepts such as vocal, rhythmic, and ear training! Classes are also great for students who already take privately but want to make music with others while reinforcing the principles learned in private lessons!

• Orchestra
  

  Cullman Home school Orchestra is an ensemble offered to any home school students between the ages of 8-18 years old. Orchestra teaches students how to play band/orchestral instruments and focuses on classical and contemporary band and orchestra music.

  We offer two different levels, Junior and Senior Orchestra. Junior Orchestra is available for beginners to learn the basics of their chosen instrument and music reading, and students may test out of it into the Senior Orchestra when they are ready. Ideally, beginner students would remain in the Junior Orchestra for no more than one year.

• Jazz Band
  Jazz Band is an ensemble offered to any home school students between the ages of 10-18 years old. Jazz Band focuses on various genres of non-classical music, such as jazz, blues, and swing. Students in Jazz Band expand their knowledge of music theory to include blues scales, pentatonic scales, improvisation, and more!

• Small Ensembles
  We offer a variety of small ensemble groups such as: Junior Guitar Ensemble, Senior Guitar Ensemble, and Cullman Youth Strings.
